Executive summary

A short commitment window for a whole-of-life asset

SunJoy Global Insurance Plan II compresses funding into two or five years while retaining a lifetime participating structure — guaranteed cash value plus declared reversionary and terminal bonuses.

Advisers are not positioning SunJoy II for return optimisation. They use it where a client balance sheet needs liquidity that does not depend on selling illiquid assets, or where a portfolio needs a defensive, non-market-linked allocation whose returns come from declared participating bonuses rather than direct market exposure.

Its second role is structural. Single or joint life cover, interim and contingent ownership, policy split and continuation features, and designated recipient withdrawals let a single contract carry a family through changing circumstances without repeated restructuring.

Product-specific context

SunJoy series

  • Fulfilment ratios are publicly available for older participating product series
  • The SunJoy Global series is a newer launch, so there is currently insufficient in-force history for published fulfilment ratios

Fulfilment ratios are a transparency tool. They explain how illustrations have performed historically, not what future bonuses will be.
